Tata Power to Supply 131 MW Green Energy to Tata Motors Plants

 Tata Motors Ltd. has signed a Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) with Tata Power Renewable Energy Ltd., a Tata Power subsidiary, to collaborate on a 131 MW wind-solar hybrid power project. The project will supply green and inexpensive power to six Tata Motors plants in Maharashtra and Gujarat, where it produces commercial and passenger vehicles.


This 
action is one of the most important components of Tata Motors' sustainability strategyas it aligns with its vision of achieving Net-Zero emissions.

Vishal Badshah, 
Vice President of Commercial Vehicles Operations, stated the initiative reflects Tata Motors' focus towards using renewable energy in its business and reducing its carbon footprint while pursuing RE-100 objectives.
