Hp grows 3% as electricity, manufacturing output surge

Himachal Pradesh's economy is projected to grow by 6.7% in the fiscal year 2024–25, surpassing the national average of 6.4%. This growth is largely driven by a robust 8.1% expansion in the industrial sector, particularly in manufacturing and electricity generation.
The state's commitment to renewable energy has played a significant role, with initiatives like the inauguration of a 32 MW solar power project in Una district and the installation of 500 MW of solar capacity planned.
These efforts aim to make Himachal Pradesh India's first green energy state by 2026. Additionally, the state's per capita income is expected to rise by 9.6%, reaching ₹2.57 lakh in 2024–25, reflecting the positive impact of these developments on the overall economy.
